It has been announced that more than three million households will be informed that they qualify for the Warm Home Discount as part of the latest Cost of Living support. The automatic one-off payment of £150 will help eligible, low income customers to pay their energy bills over the winter.
The Government is also relaunched their ‘It All Adds Up’ campaign, a public information campaign on how to save money on energy bills. The campaign will help people to make simple changes to save at least £100. This includes a collaboration with Amazon Alexa – anybody asking Alexa how to conserve energy or reduce their energy bills will receive the latest government advice.
Advice is available online via the Help for Households campaign website, and through a public information campaign including billboards and radio adverts later in the autumn. The Help for Households website also offers information on a range of other Cost of Living support measures that are in place.
