With the ongoing energy crisis and the current cost of living, community interest company YES Energy Solutions has pledged over £250,000 of profits to a dedicated Warmer Homes Fund which will give immediate relief for mounting energy debts and additional funding for home improvements.

YES is helping residents of West Yorkshire by providing free advice visits, and funds to make homes warmer and greener while combatting fuel debt. The YES Warmer Homes Fund can assist with up to £250 to go towards energy debts for eligible households up until 31st March.

Payments will depend on how the household pays for their energy, and could include payments directly energy suppliers, fuel vouchers for those using prepayment meters, or contributions towards the cost of oil and bottled gas.

They are also identifying people who can access available funding for home improvements such as boiler replacements, insulation and low carbon heating, using the Warmer Homes Fund alongside existing grants to fully cover the cost of the upgrades in most circumstances.

YES will start with a free home advice visit from their local team to identify the best support available. All households within West Yorkshire are eligible for a visit (homeowners, private renters and social housing tenants) and households will receive tailored advice on keeping their homes warm.
