Warm and peaceful environment
Visitors can expect a warm welcome with a quiet space. Free hot drinks and biscuits, soup, crumpets and toast. People can also use the Library on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On Mondays we run a Mancave where men meet men for a game of dominoes, a chinwag and a coffee. On Tuesdays we have a coffee and crumpets session. On Thursday mornings Early Years are available with lots advice or just for a chat with mums. At all sessions people can charge their phones and use the computers or laptops.

We have free WIFI for the community to use, TVs to watch the Freeview channels and music to listen to. We offer a café area which is fully heated with access to a community Café for hot drinks and meals. A community hub for people to stay warm and meet other people, build friendships and help peoples wellbeing. We also offer crafts, reading, jigsaws, games and colouring.

Our warm space runs alongside our FoodSavers pantry. The pantry has a membership fee of £6 per visit (cheaper monthly payment options are available) but the warm space is completely free. We have hot drinks and biscuits available with space to chat or be quiet. We also have free soup or hot sausage rolls. All are welcome.

Our Pop Up Pantry runs alongside for those who want to use it: £6 for about 16 items of food including fresh fruit and veg, and cupboard staples. £1 of your payment can be put into a Credit Union savings account for you. Vouchers for a free shop available to those in particular need.

Our warm space on a Friday is called ‘Warm Welcome.’ You will receive a warm welcome and a choice of refreshments and food, with a breakfast and lunch menu to choose from. This is all free of charge, and great place to keep warm and keep connected with other members of your local community.
