You can expect a comfortable, warm space to sit, free hot drinks, free phone/tablet or laptop charging, free access to our Wi-Fi hotspot, a variety of games such as playing cards, board games, jigsaws and A TV.
Warm and peaceful environment
Visitors can expect a warm welcome with a quiet space. Free hot drinks and biscuits, soup, crumpets and toast. People can also use the Library on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On Mondays we run a Mancave where men meet men for a game of dominoes, a chinwag and a coffee. On Tuesdays we have a coffee and crumpets session. On Thursday mornings Early Years are available with lots advice or just for a chat with mums. At all sessions people can charge their phones and use the computers or laptops.

Looking for a friendly place to relax and connect? Join the Woodside Friendship Circle every Thursday from 12:30pm–2:30pm. For just £3 per session, you can enjoy crafting, chatting, and a nice cuppa in a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. Come along, unwind, and make some new friends — everyone is welcome.

Our warm space runs alongside our FoodSavers pantry. The pantry has a membership fee of £6 per visit (cheaper monthly payment options are available) but the warm space is completely free. We have hot drinks and biscuits available with space to chat or be quiet. We also have free soup or hot sausage rolls. All are welcome.

Our warm space on a Friday is called ‘Warm Welcome.’ You will receive a warm welcome and a choice of refreshments and food, with a breakfast and lunch menu to choose from. This is all free of charge, and great place to keep warm and keep connected with other members of your local community.
