Getting digital

A lot of things are digital these days – social media, useful websites and apps. Everything from online shopping, to accessing health services and prescriptions, staying in touch with family, and more – it’s all online.

From the northern isles of Scotland to the southern tip of England, there are thousands of places to go for digital inclusion support – places that can help you to access all of the online services. The Good Things Foundation have a handy map feature which will show you a list of organisations across the district that can provide online access, free SIM cards and digital support!

How else can I get digital?

Accessing the internet can also be quite expensive, and those who struggle with the cost of living already, may not be able to afford this expense. That’s why providers offer something called a ‘social tariff’ which is a low cost broadband or mobile data option. They have varying eligibility criteria, so we’ve provided a short list of providers with a link to their website where you can find more information on their social tariffs.
